The aim of the Smart Economic Planning and Industrial Policy (SEPIP) Conference is to bring together researchers, practitioners, regulators, and policymakers from around the globe to share results of academic studies, exchange views, share experiences, and discuss innovative ideas on industrial policy, economic planning, and related contemporary strategies to support sustainable economic development and national competitiveness. Organized by OSTİM Technical University, SEPIP 2025 aims to establish an international platform for discussing economic transformation and the evolving role of industrial policy at national and regional levels. The conference provides an opportunity to compare traditional and emerging paradigms shaped by technological, geopolitical, and environmental shifts; to present real-world experiences from international academics and policymakers; and to explore new policy tools such as industrial clustering, green economy, infrastructure planning, and digital development strategies. The SEPIP conference, first held on May 4, 2014, attracted global interest with distinguished speakers from the USA, Europe, Singapore, and South Korea.
SEPIP 2025 will be held on October 14-15, 2024 at Universty of Nevada, Reno and/or online platform. The main theme of SEPIP 2025 is “Industrial Policy, Trade Wars, and Economic Development in the Era of Technological, Geopolitical, and Environmental Change.” Sub-themes include global economic shifts, green economy and finance, the economics of climate change, industrialization and digitalization, big data and development analytics, artificial intelligence and industrial strategies, hybrid and spatial computing, political and economic sustainability, post-neoliberal development, smart planning for post-conflict recovery, and the challenges of low global growth, inflation, climate change, and supply chain disruptions.

Industrial Policy (ISSN-2757-9840) is the main publishing outlet for research on industrial policy and its impact on society. The IndPol publishes high-quality research on the process of economic and technological development, particularly industrialisation.
